Couple of noteworthy injuries to NorCal athletes...

Bryon Marshall's (2nd fastest 100m. runner in CCS) senior Track and Field season is over.  He injured his hamstring at Arcadia and did not compete in the WCAL Trials.

The following was reported by Phil Jenson of the Contra Costa Times on his twitter account in regards to St. Mary's Berkeley's Trinity Wilson (defending state champion in girls' 100m. hurdles):
"Trinity Wilson has been scratched from all of her events at the Bay Shore Athletic League championships due to her fractured toe.  St. Mary's High girls coach Jeff Rogers confirmed that to me this afternoon. Wilson will not hardship in any individual events, he said."

Bummer. I imagine that takes their 4x100 out as well.

Or maybe they will only run him in the relay and not risk tweaking it in individual races. I guess we will see Friday, they are still entered according to the WCAL program.

They have an awesome team, I guess we will see.

Unfortunately, VC had to scratch their 400 relay, due to Marshall's injury, which is really a shame because they had a legitimate shot at making State finals two years in a row!!!

hopefully Trinity has a smooth recovery and is healthy for the Olympic Trials.
