Quote of the Week

"As a coach sometimes the most difficult aspect is to help your athletes find their own internal motivation. The simple fact of the matter is that you wont get any results without effort.

Sometimes running isn't about training. Sometimes it's about destressing after a busy or hectic day or a way of coping with dealing with a traumatic event in your life, such as the loss of a loved one.

Running is comforting and familiar. It can bring you an inner peace that you're not going to find in a lot of other places. I've said a thousand times, "The first step out the door is the hardest one." How many times have you ever came back from a workout and regretted having done it ? Not many, I would guess.

People run for different reasons. To be honest, I don't really like running. People are surprised when I say this. The truth is that I like RACING. I love to toe the start line and push my body to its limits. Training to me is a necessary evil. If I didn't train, I wouldn't ever be successful at racing.

Find YOUR reason to run. Use it as motivation every day. You'll be glad you did."

don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps."
