Claiming your profile on MileSplit

I’ve been reaching out to coaches asking for their help as we look to connect more high school cross country and track and field athletes to our website. 

I am reaching out to ask for your assistance in getting athletes in your program to claim their profiles on ca.milesplit.com.

As with the MileSplit registration I emailed about a few weeks ago, this too is free.

When athletes claim their profiles on MileSplit, the results and rankings are more accurate, the content is easier to find, and all of it can be personally delivered to inboxes. 

It is super easy to do! Please share these four steps with your athletes:

1. Create a login on MileSplit by going to https://ca.milesplit.com/register

2. Search for your athlete profile by clicking search in the upper right corner.

3. Type your first/last name and click on your athlete profile. 

4. Click the “Claim Profile” button. 

That's it!

Former Westmont HS runner Jason Gomez rolling at Iowa St.

 Jason Gomez, Westmont HS '18 ran for Notre Dame de Namur before their program folded last year. He is now attending Iowa State and has been posting some really fast times indoors. 

A week ago, Jason recorded his personal best in the 800m. with a time of 1:47.02. Some of you might remember that Gomez was the California state champion in the 800m with a PR of 1:50.21. You can check out a description of his new 800m. PR at this LINK.

This past Saturday, Iowa St. ran 9:27.90 in the Distance Medley Relay as they finished in 2nd place behind the record-setting University of Oregon team. Gomez led off the relay with a 2:49.83 leg for the 1200m. You can read all about that effort at this LINK.
