The Skyline High School Titans boys team time of 92:36 at the Joaquin Miller Park Course in Oakland was exactly 2 minutes faster than the previous record of 94:36 set by Piedmont High School in 1995. That time is the best any team from any league has ever run at Joaquin Miller Park, including the great teams from Piedmont and Bishop O’Dowd High School in the 1990s and from Oakland High School in the more recent past. Senior Sean Purcell (18:13) earned his second victory of the year, close behind were fellow seniors Andrew Sylvester (18:15), Ryan Purcell (18:17) and Chase Wilson (18:18), and rounding out the historic team were junior Cameron Kohles (19:33) and seniors Jose Vazquez (19:53) and Steven Chu (20:21).
