DMR????

Not listed in all the scoring tables that I used. Where would you rank those DMR efforts?

I asked Keith Conning, Walt Lange and Bill Gregg that same question (about the DMR), because the only other NorCal DMR time I know of faster than Armijo's 10:06 is the J-High team from 1986, which ran 9:56 at the Woody Wilson relays. The fastest CCS team time that I know of since 1996 (I've been keeping track since '96, but pre-'96 records are hard to come by...) is Bellarmine's 10:16 from Arcadia last year...which makes Armijo's 10:06 very impressive in my book, as impressive as any mark up there, and easily a meet record for the Stanford Invite. There may other NCS times that I am not aware of, but if Walt, Bill and Keith couldn't think of any then i'd say that 10:06 is one for the books! Congrats Armijo! I timed Grijalva at 4:09!!!

Starn going sub 4:50 is damn impressive, but Herrera doubling against a tough field like he did was the best individual performance for me. Both DMRs are noteworthy. The Jesuit team whose record Armijo beat had the Mastalir's on it and they went 9:56 when they were seniors, so breaking any of their records takes something special. Grijalva is definitely taking it to another level this year and he's still a junior.
I'll go with this, but more of a personal preference than anything else.
1. Herrera double
2. Starn
3. Armijo DMR
4. Dunne

I'd like to point out that Morgin Coonfield was just 0.43 of a second behind Brooke Starn in the mile after running the 3000 the day before. No skin in the game--just an admirer.

Seems to me that DMR US #1 and #2 should rank somewhere, no? Does Stanford post the relay splits anywhere?

Kari Hatcher's (SMB) TJ'ed of 39-1.25 not on the list??? It looks legal and 2nd best in the state!!

The top california 100 on PrepCaltrack does not have all of the TJ'ers results from the Stanford invite included though they have someone who came in 7th place. How does that happen..to include the 7th place finisher but not the top 6 placers? Is there a link for that?

Albert Caruana said...

Boys or girls? Are you looking for results of the meet?

Girls. No..I know the results! Only that the Prepcaltrack have left out the top 6 finishers in the TJ that would all be on their list of "The Top California 100".
