Some great performances, especially considering how windy it was!

Highlights for me were:

Jurnee Woodward in the 100 hurdles - not sure how she came back to win from getting caught and passed with only a few hurdles to go! Awesome race.

Boys 1600 was great - Cooper Teare was mega impressive with a wire-to-wire win.

Boys 3200 was top quality battle between Luis Grihalva of Armijo and Michael Vernau of Davis - 9:06.02 to 9:06.28. Both only Juniors!

Girls 1600 wasn't close, but nice to see Fiona O'Keeffe back in form with a solid win in 4:47. Funny mess-up by announcer who kept calling her by her younger sister's name (Olivia) for the first couple laps.

All in all a good afternoon/evening of track.

2 great times for the 100 hurdles with now Woodward and Robinson #1 and #2 in CA in hurdles with their time today.

Teare had a 13.5 second pr in the 1600 although he hasn't been in a hot 1600 like that before.

Most impressive for Grijalva and Vernau was that they both doubled back from very fast 1600s.

The younger O'Keeffe was scheduled to race but was sick this week. She did run a 2:12.09 800 pr last week at Halden so she is really coming on late in the season.

Were the wing gauges broken? Most sprints were wind legal. Was it windy or not?

They were getting wind readings so assuming the wind gauges were working properly.

it was very windy earlier in the day. Wind started to calm around 6 - right after/during 3200s (girls 3200 was still pretty windy) - I expect the invitational sprints were legal because wind was calmer then.
