Boys race is going to be crazy!

Not to start with the Rich bashing, but why is Isaac Cortez of Great Oaks in this race, besides the fact that he is from Great Oak. A great miler/1,600 runner and a very good cross country runner, but I am going to make an assumption that there are several runners in the "slow" heat with better times. With that said, will be interesting to see if Herrera can close the gap on Rocha and where Rocha is since he has kept a pretty low profile so far this season. On the girls side, it's clear that Rylee Bowen has rapidly made the jump from phenom to star. Really anticipating to see if she can continue her early season run of form.

15 already sub-9?!?! :O

I think Rich has liberal license as the meet director to place athletes and/or teams wherever he wants to put them. I am sure coaches make requests for their athletes and sometimes Rich will agree to said requests. As for the 3200 at Arcadia, I think that any athlete that could potentially break 9 is going to be in the fastest heat. Isaac Cortes ran 15:05.8 at Woodward Park and has run 1:51.44 and 4:06.48. He is definitely a potential sub 9 guy so he gets to race in the fastest heat.

Rocha low profile but I think 14:35 5k about 4-5 weeks ago so he is in shape should be good to watch.

Eight out of the top ten boys in the 3200 HS, nationally, are from California (as of 4/4/2016). Nice!
