Mackey should be disqualified because one of the CV coaches was standing on the track hugging him at the finish! Just saying, rule is a rule.
This worked last time I tried it...putting out a call for video of the boys 800 at Bay Shore. Please and thank you.
Having been to both The Tri Valley and Bayshore meets they run with a different set of rule enforcement. Starting with the basic uniform rule violations and going on and on. If man in the green top standing ON THE TRACK is on the CV staff at the finish line that would have been a Dq at Tri Valley IMHO. That will not happen at MOC.
Not sure why having a meet official on the track that happened to be from the same school as one of the runners would be a DQ. He was there announcing splits for all of the runners and ringing the bell for the bell lap. After the race was over, he congratulated the winner. I know most of the rules (I think), but not whatever it is you're referring to.
That was a great finish by Carter Mackey.
