Girls 800. Could have three podium finishers at state in that group.
Girls 3200m, (45 Girls) is just ridiculous!
who else is super surprised to see two st francis kids in the 2 mile?
So girls 3200 will be one heat of 45 girls? How does that even work? There was so much tripping and elbowing in the CCS Top 8 1600 - this will be exponentially worse.
There are 3 kids from Willow Glen in the 2 mile. I am super surprise.
Steve Filios sent an email earlier today stating that due to safety concerns there will be two heats in both boys and girls 3200. The bylaw regarding one heat for 3200 will be revisited at the evaluation meeting.
why would you be suprised about 2 saint francis kids in the 3200? they did win CCS (whatever gender you are talking about)
Three Big Battles on Boys Side:
Wright (TN) vs Orloff (Serra)
Castro (EC) vs McLarnan (SF)
Sum (SAR) vs Foster (LG)
Barring no surprises those three races will be super interesting at Finals
Good news. According to the heat sheet linked on lynbrooksports.com, it looks like a second heat was added for the girls 3200m.
The girls 1600 at CCS Finals will be the best race hands down. Two of the best distance runners in this section's history battling it out. Anna's PR is a lot better than Sarah's, but I would guess that the race will be much closer than the difference in their PR's. I would not be surprised if both girls were under the old CCS record. I don't see any chance of a record assault in the 800 though.
