Wait, she false started? She jumped the gun and was given a warning? Can someone explain this?

Yeah, seems a little odd to me. See the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTOQ2ZckrTE

Who was the starter? Albert, you know people... Can you email whoever was in charge for an explaination.

Hey Anonymous, who are you? I'm not Albert but if I'm going to do something for someone (ie, contact the starter) I'd like to know who I was doing it for. But hey, that's just me.

Watching the vid, at about 8.5 seconds a high pitch wail started, a bit distracting I would say.

You mad Hank? The kid false started and didn't get called on it. This is a media website. Perhaps they should do an original piece for the people.

Mad? no. Frustrated that folks don't identify themselves? YOU BET! Don't understand what you mean by "Perhaps they should do an original piece for the people", enlighten me.

I have no explanation for the warning, but I've gotta believe there are rules in place to cover such things. Where can one find the rules governing what constitutes a false start?

I never heard an explanation, but I was at shot put at the exact same time and remember a car alarm going off right at the time of the start of the 300LH. When I looked over and noticed the girls had been called up, I figured that is the reason they didn't DQ anyone.

I just saw the video and you can clearly hear the car alarm going off which led to Collier reacting and falling forward from her blocks.

I think the officials clearly made the right call.

What's going on over there at PH? So she transferred for what seems like athletic motivations? Did she move into the district? There's mention of a transfer to train at a higher level but I have not heard that she moved to San Jose. Seems shady.

Personally I'm really tired of the free agency going on with high school athletics. And these people are the first to point fingers about recruiting when they are doing it themselves.

Anonymous at 12:30. Who cares what you think.

You were the only person that replied so apparently you care.

You can transfer legally in California. This has been brought up here before. Wanting to get better isn't some kind of free agency thing and I don't see much recruiting going on. Can you tell me what's wrong with transferring if a kid wants to train harder and run faster when they can't get it at their original school?

Gibson transferred from Soquel to SLV and had to sit out a year. Transferring for athletic motivations require up to two years sitting out.

This girl transferred to "run with state level girls." She runs for her uncle. Was there no influence there?

You cannot switch school districts without residential documentation. She went to a school not in the same district. So... did she move to San Jose? Uses her coach's / uncles address? Hopefully it's all in up and up... I don't know. But where there's smoke...

My child has to go to their assigned public school or go private. They do not get to choose their school for athletics or arts or academics or the teachers. Athletic transfers are there to prevent one successful school from transferring in the best athletes.

If this was football it would be all over MaxPreps. But track... Who cares (as one anonymous poster said).

David,

Clearly you are not in Admin. Transfers are not legal in California. Though if you mean "legal" to mean lots and lots of legal documents and countless hours of labor than yes. Truth is transfers are very complicated.

Fairfield? If she was still living in Fairfield and commuting...? dang, that's hard core! I hope she moved.
