Prior to HAAL XC league, I measured the course again with a wheel and came up with 4796 meters, only 16m short of 3 miles. This should satisfy anyones curiosity as to the accuracy at this point. good luck at NCS ALL. COACH SPENCER
So for the second loop down to the track, you take a different path than the first time?
Not sure the 2nd mile ends on the basketball courts. I think it is more within the confines of the corridor/hallways.
2nd time down to the track you come from the basketball courts. first time you come from the grassy field.
well, looks like the rain may be just showers this AM. Winds may be lighter this AM then forcasted...maybe a 5 to 10 mile per hour breeze out of the southwest. Temp is 46 right now in Hayward. Rained last night between 10 and 1 AM but not too hard. Course should be wet but not sloppy....yet. Good luck to everyone running. We'll see in about 40 mins how it is when we walk the course.
This is the best cross country course NCS has to offer? At a high school on basketball courts and a dirt track? Might as well hold CCS at Half Moon Bay!
There are specifications that have to be met in order to host a section meet like this. Mainly parking, room for runners, etc. I believe they used to run it at Newhall park in concord, but there is absolutely 0 parking.
