Random question: When is the last time a NorCal team won the state title? What about NCS? CCS?

North Salinas?

Jesuit a couple years ago, behind RJ Frazier and a whole crew of throwers.

Mt. Pleasant (San Jose) won the girls in 2007. Note that in 2007, the top 5 schools were all from Northern California: Mt. Pleasant, Hercules, Bishop O'Dowd, Holy Names, and St. Elizabeth. Furthermore, Davis tied for sixth.

Yes, thanks a lot for the videos, Tom. On a side note, does anybody know what happened to Kevin Bishop during the state 3200? Poor guy must have accidentally injured himself or something. He still had a great season nonetheless.

seemed that the state meet was much slower this year on the guys side-there was nobody like Ammar Moussa, Jantzen Oisher, Elias Gedyon, or Immanuel Huchinson this year-and Norcal guys like Cole Williams in the 800m or Luna/Washura from last year would have easily dominated their events.

It was very hot on day one and then very windy on day two. My guess is that led to strategic racing in the distance races. You can't beat the perfect conditions for the distances last year.

Tom, any video footage of the Girl's Pole Vault and Taylore Jaques of Presentation? That was the TOUGHEST PV competition ever at State, with 5 girls over the bar at 13-00. Taylore's second attempt at 13-04 sealed the deal. Once again, the Slover's coach a fine young athlete from the CCS to a State Championship!

Is he a private coach now? How can you find out about being coached by him if you want to learn pole vault?

And doesn't Bell an Pres share the same PV coach?
