Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft, New Jersey

Just to give you an idea what it takes to compete at the National level, here are the 3200m. times for Christian Brothers Academy who are currently ranked 2nd on the xcnation.com 5 x 3200m. list with a 9:13.21 average.  They are also the defending national champions at the Nike Cross Nationals.


These are their returning runners for this upcoming cross country season:
9:08, 9:11, 9:13, 9:15, 9:17, 9:35, 9:44, 9:46, 9:53, 9:54, 9:55, 9:55, 10:00, 10:01, 10:10, 10:20, 10:20, 10:24, 10:29, 10:57.

Wow, that must be cool to watch those guys run. My guess is that they have a great team chemistry and encourage each other and compete against each other all the time. They also probably have a great program in terms of knowing how hard to train without getting hurt.

Here's the secret: lots of fast motivated boys who race the workouts. The elite are truly elite and go to the top with a few casualties on the way. It pays to have talent and numbers. It's the old college way. We are innately competitive, can't help it.

Plus God loves Catholics more I think.

I liked the division rankings last year, it gave me something to look forward to every week! When are these coming out???????

What is the Jr High/Youth feeder program like?

This avg of 9:13 is also without the two senior who ran 4:09 and 4:12..They would have had a 5 man avg under 9:10--the 9:13 avg is ALL underclassman
