ESPN closing its high school business unit

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/gameon/post/2012/06/espn-closing-its-high-school-business-unit/1#.T9lqF9VYuSp

Just heard the news.  Wow!  What is to become of DyeStatCal now?  Guess I might have a few more visitors to my site now.  Pre-Season XC rankings are definitely on the way.  We'll start off with NCS Division III rankings.  If you are interested in sending me rankings for any section in California, feel free to send them to albertjcaruana@gmail.com.

I know I have asked before but what else would you like to see on this site?  I am all ears.

Love your site. Great interviews. What I really miss about Dyestat is the forums. Wide range of users including lots of real running expertise in the form of people like Hal and others who are actually professionally involved in the business end. Better structure than on letsrun and runnerspace (all due respect to them and grateful that they exist). Just a better caliber of discussion that was easier to be connected to. I learned so much as a non-runner from the Dyestat forums. I realize that a forum on that level is a big monster to take on though.

Track talk.net is the same forum, but much less traffic.

You may end up with lots of So Cal folks like myself begging you to expand your coverage to Southern Section!

More proof club sports are killing HS athletics. The lone survivor? Wrestling that had over 30,000 in attendance for the state meet.

Funny how they get no love but the minor sports are the ones keeping Cif in business.

To me DyestatCal never was the same ever since ESPN bought them out.

Really? With all the hate towards their So Cal dominance this is all the smack talk we get? You guys suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dominance? More like bias. I think Rich did his best to try and keep the DyeStat tradition going, but the corporate framework never quite allowed it.
There's an opportunity here, Albert-but I think the whole state is too much to handle without sacrificing some quality. Maybe a CCE landing page, then a choice to view Northern or Southern CA An extra click would be fine with me...

New topic from Letsrun (since Dyestat sucks): are form drills over rated. Discuss.
