Meika is the GOAT

The matchup between Great Oak and Dublin is unreal, especially between the 1-4. Great Oak is just far too deep this year for any team to matchup it seems.

Meika is not the GOAT unless you are only counting Bellarmine runners. That is the fastest time by a Bell on the Crystal Springs course. He still has more than half the season left to keep doing his thing though. Very impressive so far.

As for Dublin and Great Oak, they will be in different divisions at the state meet. Dublin is going to be very tough to beat if they run like that at the state meet.

I agree with 12:28PM...prob, not of all-time but pretty darn great right now...I would say he's got to be top 10 in the Country...14:45 @ Crystal right now is absolutely INSANE!!! I heard that Clovis times were a lot faster than usual since conditions were perfect. If Bells were at Clovis today, Meika prob would've gone sub 15! MBR has been wow'ing us in every race he runs...Plus he's a very humble kid too.

I know what you meant Matt. Meika has been running awesome so far this season and who knows what he can do at the WCAL finals with one more month of training. I will tell you that conditions were incredible today. Perfect weather for running.

Love the passion Matt. Meika is doing great and it is nice to see him reaching even greater heights. It is great to be part of CCS and compete against the Bells, St. Francis, Willow Glen and the rest of the amazing talent. Serra did a great job hosting today, as always. Train hard, race fast and have fun!!

So Fresno wasn't the usual 95 degrees at 8 am?

Albert Caruana said...

Sure didn't seem that way.

The conditions at Clovis were pretty much perfect until about 10:30 id say. After the championship race, the temperature went up a lot but it was never up in the 90 degree range like Clovis usually is.

Kumar and the SF team destroyed the DII competition. They will very likely win state and beat Dublin.

Were any pictures from Crystal Springs Invitational posted online?

I think it is going to be close between Dublin and SF at state. When the D1 teams are taken out of the mix, Dublin's 38 point lead at Woodward gets chopped in half. Also, Dublin does not have the depth that SF has. The 33 point advantage that SF has over Dublin in the 6 man spot could be very costly if any of their normal scorers have a bad day or miss the race.
