CCS seems to be the only major California section with no individual rankings by division. :(

What division are you most interested in? Boys or girls?

Walt's working on it. Feel free to throw one out there.

The girls side would be interesting since they get less attention in the discussions. Picking one division out of the hat...D4. Mari is the clear leader and Santa Cruz is the dominant team, but how do the individuals fall out after Mari?

Since this is a SJS post, I would like to discussion to stick to that section. CCS Individual rankings will be out shortly.

CCS is always last on this site! Sad!

What are the big surprises this year for you in the SJS? Do you think any teams might make a big impact at the state level or is the SJS slightly underpowered this year?

I think this year's teams have benefited from stronger SJS teams last year, now that Division I, II & III all have 3 spots to state. While there have been some strong individuals on the Girls side that will contend (Denners from Oak Ridge) for individual state champ, perennial powerhouses like St Francis and Davis Girls have not been as stellar as in the past. This might because Fauria hasn't run and O'Keefe is about a minute of her times last year.

On the boys side, Jesuit has some injuries but don't have the core of runners it has in the past. Bella Vista and Rocklin and Christian Bros will probably do well at state in their respective divisions.

Pretty good rankings for team and individuals.

This might just be a typo, but Christian Bros (Division 4) has been the dominant team at the small school invites all season, and beaten all those 4 teams above them and all the Division 3 teams as well. They are also ranked in the top 10 for in the state for Division 4. Other than that mistake, nice to have some SJS rankings. Thanks!

Is Isabella Fauria from St. Francis not running cross-country this year? Injured? Just curious...
