Having a son run for Bellarmine, both XC and track, it is an honor and privilege to watch Meika run. He is a humble quiet young man that inspires teammates, not by his voice, but by his humility on and off the course. Meika is a bright young man with a kind heart, he will be a welcome addition to any collegiate program that he chooses. Good luck, Meika.
Go Bells!
It is an honor and privilege to have Meika run for Bellarmine. He is a kind hearted young man that leads with humility on and off the course. Meika is a quiet young man that garners the respect of his teammates by his grace on and off the course. To watch the younger runners stay after their races to watch "the seniors", is a testament to how Coach McCrystle brings the boys together as teammates.
Congratulations Meika and Go Bells!
great interview. And though I don't know Meika, the comments above are exactly how he presents himself. Humble, quiet, leader.
Great interview. Great kid. Great athlete.
I interviewed Meika last year and was taken back by his maturity and a wisdom well beyond his years. I have no doubt he will have a bright future well beyond running and wish him noting but the best. An easy kid to root for.
