Random thought but it seems a lot of courses are adding in hay bales.

I'd like to see them stacked 2 high though, then we might see some solid wipe outs!

Random answer....

A lot of the boys I coach ask me, "Why do they put hay bales on the course?" My answer to them is just "It's tradition." I don't remember it during my high school races back in the late 70's, but when I started competing again as an adult in the mid-80's, hay bales were a regular part of courses. I don't personally need to see wipeouts, but I love the fact that it adds the need for an additional skill during a race.

What an outstanding young athlete. Great article!! Great Interview!! After watching her do a "workout" at Mt. Sac...cause no one was within 200M of her at 17:01...I am looking forward to watching just what she can do the rest of the season. I'll pray she stays healthy. We could be in for some Shock and WOW from this mighty might!!
