It's possible I might have missed a runner or two.  It would be nice if they would include the section for each runner along with the results.  Races are still being posted so there will be more additions.

Believe the Maxwell girls were 2 fastest of the day (Div 3-5). Will be interesting to see where they stand after Div 1 & 2 on Sat.

It would've been even more interesting to see them both race aqainst each, since it looks like neither one has actually been pushed at all this year, and your right on how they both will stack up after saturdays races! Unforunately those races might have ideal weather conditions! They both are rep'n Norcal Greatly though!

Mt. Sac seemed to have some trouble timing the races yesterday. Although one runner on our team finished within 2 seconds of another runner, his time was posted as 33 seconds later... either way it was not a sub-16 time for this blog post, but still indicates a problem. That was in the D5 sweepstakes. There seemed to be another problem in O'Dowd's D3 race, according to a YouTube post of that race. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Last year I ran 17:33 at Mt. SAC, but the results had me at 17:44.

The timing at this meet has apparently been a total FAILURE.

Can any of the times be trusted??

In the d5 sweepstakes race SJND's 3 runner Mathew Murphy finished 1 second behind their 2 runner Louis Rodrigues who is listed as finishing in 11th place at 16:16, but in the results Murphy is listed at 26th place and 16:49 which would be more than 30 seconds behind his actual time. If O'Dowd was unfortunate enought to be affected by the faulty timing then it's a shame to hear that more than one team had to have how well than ran mared by bad management.

I'm glad to hear that others recognized the issue with timing. The Division 3 Boys Race (12:23/Red/Friday) was affected by faulty timing. Our runners were sub 16:00, but were listed 16:00+. I've attached the youtube video that substantiates my claim. http://youtu.be/PsdHbbkH4QA

The Mt. Sac announcer even says that the Mater Dei runner hits the finish line at 15:35 which puts Eugene Hamilton III of Bishop O'Dowd at 15:39. Shameful because it was our first and last time at Mt Sac because Eugene just started running as a senior. Check out the video evidence of their failure: http://youtu.be/PsdHbbkH4QA

Danny Stalters on Northgate won Varsity race 58 in 15:12 on Saturday morning.

My Watch was much on and by looking at some of the video's times were right for winners of the races!

The results for Saturday are still not up. I was able to get my team's times by some of the athlete's using their wristwatches, and by watching the video of the finish and the finish clock. Even though the clock often had the previous race time for some of the early runners, eventually it switched over and I was able to subtract time and make a reasonable estimation. All of the times correlated to the extrapolations I was able to make from my coaching position down by the valley loop/start of Poopout.

Considering this thread is about top NorCal individuals at Mt. Sac, I'd like to go back to that. Jena Pianin from Amador Valley reportedly ran 17:17 for 2nd place in the Individual Sweepstakes race.

Castro Valley Sophomore Carter Mackey ran 15:48 in race 118 according to coach's stopwatch

Chris Foster of Los Gatos ran 15:27 in race #59.

Jack Scranton Davis 15:36.

Great individual results! This being a team sport, what about the team results?

don't forget Neilson Powless and the top three Whitney boys

Julian Frost from Piedmont ran 16:00 to win one of the D4 races. should be on this list (NCS Div IV)

It would be nice to see results if the Divisions 4,5 and even 3 had comparble weather conditions as the Division 1 and 2 sweeps did! Division 3 Sweeps had some decent Conditions since they were the last Race on Friday evening! Div 4and 5 had warm and Hot Conditions through out the Day!

I watched race 45 again today at the Mt. Sac website, and found it was really easy to see who crossed the line when; evidently it was a different camera than the one for the live-streaming web video. I suggest watching that to get more accurate places to correct the timing issues.

for all Friday high-school races.

Hi Nils, yes that is the recording that was sent to the Mt Sac meet director to review. It is pretty clear that the SJND #3 was around 16:18 or so and 13 or 14th place. He did receive a place medal awarded to the top 15 finishers, so somebody at the finish line thought he was in that group rather than 26th... they would have all been gone by then.

Is Tyler Hanson hurt? He didn't race at the DFAL center meet.

He was sick.
