State Wide Rankings as posted today...

First as posted at www.dyestatcal.com.
Top 25 (regardless of division)
Top 10 (by division)

You can also check out the following rankings as posted at www.prepcaltrack.com.
CIF State Cross Country Divisional Rankings (by Rich Gonzalez)

Thoughts?  Who is missing in any division?  Who should move up?  Who should move up?  Who is missing a few runners but watch out when team gets healthy?

Come on...on prepcaltrack, how can Simi Valley girls be ahead of Saugus, after Saugus beat Great Oak last weekend? I thought these rankings reflect "weekly" outcomes?

to 1:32PM,
Maybe the person doing the rankings knows something we don't. Was Simi Valley missing one of their top five? SLV will obviously move up later when their rumored freshman runs and Kaila Gibson is able to participate. SLV looks to be LOADED!

Both polls have Saugus behind Simi which is understandable considering Simi hasn't raced. But I don't think I'd rank St. Francis ahead of Saugus based on what have both shown so far.

Is Gibson able to run for SLV? I've heard otherwise.

St. Francis at #1 in D1? That's tough to justify.

Agreed. Let's see how St. Francis matches up against Great Oak and other D1 schools at Stanford. Maybe the person doing rankings knows something we don't?

Only teams on here from CCS are from SCCAL, and Aptos boys should be there too, they look better than bonita. Rep it.

St. Francis had all 5 scoring girls run under 19 mins at Willow Hills last year at sections which is a significant feat - not sure any girls team has ever done that before (but could be mistaken and it was a somewhat shortened course). 4 of those girls including their 1-3 return - well maybe. . . bc Peyton Bilo did not run at the opening Oakmont Inv. this year. Their strength is not that they have break out top runners but that they have "had" 4-5 runners who score very well and very close in time. Remains to be seen what happens this year - never know. I am not a St. Francis parent in fact my daughter ran against them a couple of years ago.

I think you have a case for one ranking being based on the now and one based on the future.

Kaila Gibson has to sit out 30 days and barring no conflicts will be eligible to race on Monday, October 7th.

I think we will have a better idea about all the teams once we get to Stanford and Clovis Invitationals.

As Scott Joerger (DyeStatCAL Editor) pointed out in his recap of the Fastback results: Simi is on top in these results, but the surprising thing is by how little, considering Great Oak was without their preseason 2-3-4-5 in Helbig, Dorris, Calain and Larsen. These 4 girls finished between 10-25 place at last years state meet & have all ran 12 min or under at Fastback. Most likely the results (ie the winner) would surely been different even if just one of these girls had ran.
