This is the place to talk about the Stanford Invitational. Who rocked it today? Who was the biggest surprise? What team made the biggest wave at this meet? Let's hear your thoughts.

if there is going to be a webcam, could someone please post the link? I looked on Runnerspace and I couldn't find it. THANKS!
If Hank reads this: Love how you put up the same pictures of Mel Lawrence, etc. each year when Stanford Invitational rolls around. Definitely brings back a wave of memories from those of us who competed around that time.
Kings Acadamy is the big surprise on the girls side of D4 for me. Not one Senior. Earmark them as up and coming!
Best weather for D4. Now times will get harder with the heat!
MY BOY ERIK OLSON DOIN WORK!!!!!!
Slv looking good even without Kaila Gibson.
I would say the Course was slippery and wet in the Morning along with some Humidity starting, Best racing conditions was probably around Div 1 Races and beginining of Seeded races, after that Heat.
SJND boys D5 like how do you even have four runners in the top four places!?!? props to them :)
@ 3:40
Because D5 is a WEAK division. Their fifth was like 16:41, which would have placed SIXTY-SECOND in the seeded race.
That is all.
And by fifth, I meant fourth.
Is Gibson running this year?
Calling Division V weak is...well weak. Division V schools have under 500 students. You are telling me that you can compare a Division V school to a school that has over 1000-4000 students straight across???
I will be happy to show you charts created by Ken Reeves that clearly show how the more students you have at a school, the faster you run in races.
Wow, NCS boys performed very well all across the board. Well done.
So great to see so many CCS athletes, past and present, running so well today. Hats off to Chris Foster for leading the current crop of boys.
Why so few CCS teams in this meet? Only 3-4 schools at most and it's in their backyard against top completion from the state and beyond?
Where you at CCS?
Arcadia runs here and other big meets like Mt. San and win State and Nationals so don't give me that crap you are saving it for later.
@9:09
There were definitely more than a few CCS teams here... including SLV , Scotts Valley, Mt View, Los Altos, Leland, Lynbrook, Aptos, Homestead, and more.
Get to know your CCS teams before making accusations...
Many good teams were there. But only a few per division. Please look at results before publicly being an idiot. And speaking of idiot. Whoever thought De La Salle had a shot at Arcadia... Lol.
Why is the college race so pathetic? It used to be a great meet!
Even though Foster ran EXTREMELY well, hats off to the WCAL teams, both SF and Bellarmine ran great races. Fastest two CCS teams on the day. Bellarmine with that fourth place finish was outstanding!
Does anyone know where Maggie Bell of Granite Bay (d2) was?
Don't believe she is running xc anymore
Bellarmine was a clear third in the combined results.
What happened to Convent in the girls DV race? They were in second with 45 points at Split 1, but then only 3 of their runners finished. How can that be??
As with most afternoon races at the Stanford Invite, the races become more of a battle of attrition.
Did anyone see Julia Bounds' finish to win Division 2!?! It was outstanding!
She looks like a college runner already. Obviously hit puberty early. She's a good runner with a young team. All freshman and sophomores. Coach better not screw this up, that team is a lock.
