Yolo County Championships Results

You can find the results link here.

Conditions at Yolo were perfect through five races which saw Yolo County Championships' varsity girls record holder (2012) Fiona O'Keefe, break her own best time  as a sophomore running 18:53 through the ripe grapes of Muller Vineyards. What looked to be a "fast" day for runners due to the cool temperatures saw very heavy rains drench the property before the last girl finished and the varsity boys, JV races, Freshman boys, Sophomore boys and Frosh/Soph girls races saw kids with a pound or more of mud/clay caked to their feet while trying to negotiate the course. The venue quagmire forces buses, cars and trucks to need help getting unstuck from the mud. The day seemed to never end for the volunteer staff and saw Mr. & Mrs. Bruns working to first dry race bib tags, hand tally results, and then upload to excel files. The Woodland team has made two additional trips to the Muller property to retrieve tarps, pop-ups, pick up trash, and clean the roadway and will be back out today. What a week!!

Attached, please find our most updated results still in need of team scores which will be added tonight. Sorry for the delay. Hopefully Stanford will see better conditions.

Sincerely,
