Monte Vista Invitational Results
San Ramon Valley HS (boys) and Monte Vista (girls) were the leading overall teams.
Here is the write up from the two meet directors.
============================
Relatively mild weather led to some fast times today at Oak Hill Park, as runners from 20 area schools squared off against each other and the Eliminator Hill! Plenty of close action in all 8 grade level races, as newbies and race veterans got a chance to kick it up a notch after a long summer of base work.
Top times for the day were turned in by Las Lomas' Chloe Hansel running in the Soph girls race, while San Ramon Sr Jason Intravaia turned in a near course record showing to lead the boys.
655 boys and 417 girls finished the hilly two mile course today!
Combining the boys race times, the San Ramon Boys were the fastest on the day, followed by Las Lomas, Amador Valley and Acalanes. On the girls side, host Monte Vista had a solid day, with Granda (missing their #1 runner), Las Lomas and Amador Valley close behind. Coaches got a chance to see how their runners compared on the same course, no doubt getting some surprise performances along the way.
Thank you to all participating teams! We hope to see you again next year!

Great resulting by both Intravia (#3 all time) and Hansel (#2 all time). I do wish DLS would bring their guys to this event as that would complete the field for a great local pre-season showdown of the top EBAL teams.
Schlachte and Beston are locks for top 10 NCS. Amador is this year's dark horse team, watch those kids go.
Gaskell beat Wng for Acalanes. Suprising
