We are starting a new series on MileSplit CA featuring some of the best high school cross country coaches in history. Our first installment features one of the best coaches in our region whose accomplishments at Jesuit HS can be put up against some of the best coaches in the nation, Walt Lange (2nd from right).

You can check out that article at this LINK.

You can also check out my interview with Coach Lange from October 14, 2009 at this LINK.

Proud to have competed against his teams in the 80s and to have my son run for him the last four years. Has given so much to the sport and new coaches would be wise to introduce themselves and strike up a conversation. Whether it is videotaping the courses, keeping his workouts public, videotaping every race his runners run or sharing his wisdom with fellow XC and track nuts, nobody gives more back to the sport. Appreciate you sharing Albert.
