St. Ignatius in search of track coach (distance assistant)

"St Ignatius College Prepin San Francisco, CA (CCS) is seeking a High School Assistant for the Track Distance Program. The SI program is a successful and competitive program in the WCAL and Central Coast Section. An applicant should be willing to work with the existing coach and have a willingness to learn and contribute to help the program continue to move forward. High school practices Monday through Friday and some Saturdays. This is a paid position. 1 Why is St. Ignatius, located in San Francisco, in the CCS instead of San Francisco Section?

2 Since there are so few schools in San Francisco Section, why is it not dissolved and absorbed into the CCS then?

1. The SFS contains only the public schools in San Francisco. The private schools in San Francisco are split between the CCS and NCS.

2. Perhaps the schools in the SFS do not want their section to be dissolved.

That's possible. Just curious...such a small section. Wonder why the privates are not in SFS?
