What are the chances the meet is going to be cancelled because of the weather? The forecast looks pretty bad for Saturday.

100% it's a go. It was pretty bad a few years ago and fun was had by all.

It's running on an all-weather track.

Let's GO!

Might have to get down there for the last heat of the Boys 800M races. A really competitive field! Who will take home the highly coveted Sombrero?

Like Albert said, a few years ago it rained most of the meet. As long as the music's playing, it's all good.

It was pretty bad last year...weather wise....snowed the night before in the foothills, really cold 20 to 30 mph winds with higher gusts (blew down the timing camera at one point)and rain off and on. Runners had to slosh through some big puddles but otherwise it was almost tropical!

The final heat of the boys 800 is sooo stacked. That's going to be an awesome race.

Last year was rough, they were running an hour an a half ahead of schedule because they were combining heats etc. Does anyone know if the start time listed is guaranteed the start of the first race for the respective event?

It's possible that they will run ahead of the posted schedule. I would plan on being there at least an hour and 30 minutes before the start of your race.

jeez the 800m looks off the hook-even thomas joyce is in it! all its missing is luna and larsen to be a pre-moc meet

To clarify a few things:

The meet and music will happen rain or shine. While I would like to think we could an hour and a half ahead of schedule, we did not get that far ahead (maybe 30-45 minutes at times) and we have never combined heats - the athletes will compete in the heats that are up now.

That all being said, we have a very special sombrero for the winner of the 800!

FYI, Parker Deuel has gone 1:55 and change to open the outdoor in an electronically timed intersquad meet where Trevor Holmgren when 1:56 and change and Brian Hardy 1:57 ish while Matt DeVries entered in the 3200 today ran 1:59 amd change. Again this 800 meters was electroncially timed and you can check SRV top ten board for more definitive results. Interesting note on the SRV Wolves, Carl Wilke was away in Oregon visiting grandparents but he too has gone 1:58 and change while overall the squad consists of middle distance racers that are more than capable of posting sub 7:50 for the 4 X 800 relay and sub 10:20 for the DMR. Go Wolves in 2012 track and field season!
