Thanks Hank. Fixed.
Can someone help me out here... I am confused with the St. Francis entries. They have 2 heats of only 6 teams in the frosh-soph girls DMR but only one of the boys and girls 800 with lots of alternates (17 total entries)?
Why not combine DMR and have a heat of 8 and 9 for the 800 so everyone can run. Some races have 6 heats, others 1 or 2. And to top it off some of the alternates have faster times than people entered in the meet. Kids who finished in the top 10 at K-Bell are left out...
What is the thinking here?
Remember coaches don't have access to entries from other schools when they enter their athletes.
What you see is what was entered by all schools.
The 800s were advertised as "invitational" and one heat only.
Schools were "limited" to two entries per event. That is, each school got in their two entries before third and fourth entrants got in (that's why some alternates have faster seed times).
But what about frosh-soph DMR's... 2 heats of 6 teams for the girls and 1 heat of 15 for the boys?
Seems a bit disorganized, no wonder there isn't the commitment like there is for a meet like K-Bell. If anyone else had a decent meet on the 17th or 24th around here I bet it would be just as big.
FS DMR in 2 heats is a mistake. It will be one heat. The SF Inv entries are in a flux of changes up to meet (race) time, that's just the nature of the beast. They wanted to get something out there "sooner than later" knowing that folks were interested.
