No reason to run it in crappy weather if you can wait for good weather. Good weather = better times.
If they are smart, they will.
This was the right call. Extreme wind was the major issue, with canopies and tents literally flying around and unsafe. The rain was secondary. There could have been some running events, but def. not field events. Many schools either did not arrive or left early so this was the right call. Fresno State at the collegiate level also cancelled their meet so not a one time decision.
They ran the invitational 2-mile at West Coast Relays today in rain, hail, and 20kt (gusting 27) winds...
