Just a bit windy

As a parent that had kids running early and late events, I have to say that this is the best-run meet I've ever attended. Chris Williams really has the meet management skills! Thanks, Chris. It was fun.

Personally as a runner, I found it fairly windy, especially the last 200 of each lap.

Who ran the fastest freshman boys times in the 1600 and 3200 today?

Anders Colwell from Dublin (4:45.10) and Andreas Godderis from Los Altos (10:24.25)

Re: conditions, the wind looked to be blowing straight into the face of runners rounding the last turn, pretty much from 3pm on, same as last year. But no rain this time!

I second the comment about how well-run this race was, this year and last. I'm guessing it starts as late as it does to accommodate the teams from far away, so the terrific organization really helps.

The falls in the 1600 seemed to be related to the crowding in those races. It would be hard to thin it out without a much longer total meet time because there were so many runners, but I wish there were a way.

Fun meet! Would be nice if the seed times were more honest to give all of the kids a fair chance at the t-shirts. One school racked up over 20 t-shirts, almost all of them in the slower heats....

Which school racked up over 20 shirts?

Just looked at the results: Half Moon Bay runners got 23, a half dozen other schools got around 10-15 each....
