Campolindo girls sports acknowledged by Moraga Town Council

The Moraga Town Council recently honored several of the Campolindo girls athletic teams for their accomplishments during the high school fall season.

The girls volleyball team was honored for winning the North Coast Section Division III and California State Division III championships. The girls cross country team was also honored for NCS and state championships in Division III. The girls water polo team was honored for winning the NCS Division II championship (there is no championship beyond NCS in water polo).

Carrie Verdon, a runner on the cross country team, was also honored for her individual accomplishments, winning the NCS and state races and finishing 19th in the race for the national title.
