Strangio's time in the 3200 at DDF (8:47.97) appears to be the 10th best mark of all time.

NO school record though :-)

That record won't last long.

From a distance perspective the Dublin Distance Fiesta is the place to go... but Saint Francis had a good show as well. VC & Serra are just getting into form in the sprints again. Kirby Lee of Evergreen is now the heavy favorite in the 100. Throws had some good stuff going as did the jumps. Don’t know why Results aren’t posted yet but two good meets. Season is heating up!

Albert, though I like his chances, I wouldn't be so sure that Strangio breaks the school record this year or next. Think about it: he only really has probably three 3200s per season that he'll run all-out, and weather, injury, illness and competition or its lack play a big factor. If it's 90 degrees at the California state finals, he's probably not going to run 8:43. And the weather and set-up with Liam Anderson were perfect on Saturday. Cool, zero wind, Anderson on his heels for 5-6 laps then trailing not too far back, nice crowd support. Arcadia often has all the variables so to me that's his best chance this season. If he doesn't do it there, who knows what next year might bring.

I agree that the opportunity to run fast will be minimal but Strangio showed on Saturday that he could run very fast doing the work himself.
