Westmoor Ram Invitational Results

Keep in mind that due to track construction, this year's course was different than what it has been in the past.

Bishop O'Dowd was left out of the boys' scoring. They took 3rd place.

Yes, take note that the course was different than in the past, due to construction. I ran in the coaches race, and found the new course to be one of the hardest, if not THE hardest, I've run in over 30 years of competitive running (albeit I have not run every course). Yes, I loved it! But times are definitely irrelevant here, compared to other courses of the same distance. At least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! ;-)

You can see the correct team scores here:

Ram Invitational Varsity Boys Results

Click on the "V Team" tab. (You're viewing them through the St. Ignatius XCStats site, but they're the full results).

Btw, comparing the average varsity times from last year to this, they were 7.5% slower this year. About the same percentage for boys and girls.

Eric Chavez of St. Francis ran 12:04 in 99 just edging out Girmay Guangul of Santa Clara who ran 12:05. Those are the two fastest times on the course. Next is Mark McManus of St. Ignatius who ran 12:08 in '91 followed by Calvin Gaziano in '84 in 12:10.
