Pac 12 XC Championship results

How many NorCal HS runners can you identify aside from former Davis HS runner, Fiona O'Keeffe, and Cooper Teare below?

To answer a question in the comment section below, the last male to win the Pac 12 individual title was Matt Giusto for U of A in 1987. He went to San Mateo HS and was a national Kinney champ as a senior in 1983. The last female before O'Keeffe today was Sara Bei at Stanford who won in 2002 and 2003. She was a 4-time state XC champ in high school as well as a national Foot Locker champ in 2000.
Also from today, Ivy League XC Championship with Robert Miranda formerly of Menlo in 3rd place. Also below, Brighie Leach (Campolindo), Brooke Starn (Monte Vista) and Bella Chao (Campolindo). Other photo is Brooke Starn and Gillian Meeks who helped Harvard finish in 2nd place as a team.

Three St. Francis 2019 grads ran in their conference final as a freshman this weekend: Colonna,Texas A&M (SEC); Payne, TCU (XII); and Skahill, Boston University (Patriot). I’m not sure if that is a Nor Cal record for one class, especially freshmen, running in a DI conference final but it would interesting to know if that has ever happened before. Two others from that class are also running DI: Eng, Cornell; and Elefant, Cal Poly. Five guys from the same class running DI might also be a Nor Cal record.

Pretty sure if it were a record, it would be held by Bellarmine

Yes, without thinking or any analysis, we should assume that the Bells had more than 5 guys from a single class that ran DI. I like that logic, thanks.

Not since I have been the head coach (2001) and not to my knowledge since I started teaching at BCP (1989), has Bellarmine had 5 grads from one year go on to run DI. We have had 5+ grads from one year run in college, because many of our best runners in the last 15 years have continued running at DIII schools or very successfully at the club level (in fact, 4 recent grads will be running at the National Collegiate club running championships in Mechanicsville, VA on Nov. 16!), but certainly not in DI...it makes sense to me that so many recent St. Francis alums would be running in college, since their team from two years ago was the best team in CCS history--in my opinion--and they were pretty darned good last year, too...perhaps the 2009 Mt. View team had more than 5 members who went on to run in college? Bellarmine's best all time team, again in my opinion, was the 1985 team, and they had at least three members who ran in college, at least for a while...

Congrats to Cooper for getting second. He seems prepared to get a podium finish at Ncaa's and contend for a national title in track.
