Not a fan of the show boating at the finish, it's disrespectful to all in the race. The time also doesn't warrant such and yes, I know it's early and that's my point. An early season win with a mediocre time doesn't warrant all of that. Just run the race and congratulate your fellow competitors.
This is Collin. The action was not meant to be cocky or disrespectful to any runners. It was meant to be a take after the action Peter Lomong did when he broke out and got 8th at NCAA’s. I will be going to NAU. I realize that it was a lowkey meet and a slow time, but the race was not about time. Matt and I are best friends and are capable of much faster. This race was about winning and establishing a baseline. My intent was not based on pride or self exalting myself. I believe if the race had gone out differently, we could have run a really fast time.
Collin, good for you! Running should have a component of fun, especially when you are running with friends and there is no disrespect given or taken. Looking forward to following your career at NAU. Good luck!
Collin, I replied earlier that I didn't think you did anything wrong. You can clearly see that you are very good friends with Matt from the interview on MileSplitCA.

Exactly what I was thinking. The guy seems too cocky
Seems like both guys are good friends. I don't think he did anything out of line.
Am I missing something? What did he do?
