I am working on a preview of this meet which will be posted on Friday. If you have any information that would be helpful, please feel free to add it in the comment section below. If you would like to share your thoughts about the course, you know what to do.
Thank you for the first comment below. Very helpful. If somebody has a copy, can you send me a course map. Also, what are the course records?

Will be the first big meet of the season for some of the traditional NorCal powers. Even with the graduation of Fiona O'Keeffe, the Davis girls are loaded and if Olivia O'Keeffe continues her rise, would expect them to be a contender for a podium spot at Woodward Park. Defending champions on both sides return in the form of course record holder Michael Vernau and Sofia Castiglioni from Davis. The addition of Bella Vista and Jesuit will add some firepower to the front of the pack and you can never count out Armijo's Luis Grijalva, who, along with Vernau, feature on many lists of the nation's top HS XC runners. As a fan of the sport, looking to see some fireworks early in the season on this relatively challenging course.

Anyone know how to get results for the Gunn Alumni meet yesterday? I know they hand time but it would be good to see how the top guys and newcomers did in their first time out this year.
If those results are anywhere online, they would be posted at www.lynbrooksports.com.
This is a bit late since you posted your preview (sorry), but the Bella Vista girls won't be at Lagoon Valley--just the boys. The BV boys team has a lot of depth. The girls are rebuilding their team after losing all but one to graduation from their powerhouse team. The BV girls will be at Lowell.
Additionally, Vacaville has a strong, young girls team which deserves a mention. Sophomores Gabriela Hernandez and Jaxin Woodward had strong track seasons as freshmen.
I'm excited to watch XC get underway. Great sport!
Regarding the Gunn alumni meet / scrimmage by rule results are not allowed to be published. Technically the "race" could be stopped and then continued so coaches can instruct athlete. Seems silly but that is why they stopped publishing a few years ago. And it's the same reason no scores are kept.
@9:36 that is interesting. Wonder why it matters. Ironically, the front page splash on the Lynbrook site is Slaney breaking the Gunn meet record. Guess it still counts, even if we have to consider it unauthorized in its publication.
The Gunn All-Time list on Bol Park is just that, the Gunn All-Time list. They can include (or exclude) whatever marks they want. Whether run in a sanctioned meet, a scrimmage or a workout - it's their list. So it counts if they want it to count. As for full results and team scores... that won't happen since it was a scrimmage (of course anyone who happened to be there can do what they want but Gunn won't be publishing results).
