A clear recruiting violation. How many scholarships do they lose and championships have to be vacated? :)
You can explain how that is a violation first.
Clearly the font, style, and even the color (grey and not black as required by NCAA rule) of type in the letter is a recruiting violation, even in the 1960s. Should Nike have to pay a fine or give up their monopoly of the NCAA finals for one year in the next 25? Just a thought.
Are you saying that his recruitment letter wasn't really printed in the local newspaper? The movie "Prefontaine" is just one big lie
Movies very rarely follow real life scripts. They usually change a few things to add a little bit of drama. Take for example, McFarland USA. Anybody who is familiar with that team and the history of CA history certainly noticed some of the inaccurate history in the movie.
Seriously, nice low-pressure letter from a coach. I would love for my kids to get a note like that. It would put that school high up on the list.
