I think Salm Bouhassoun of Missiom 10:18 to 9:14 in 3200 in one year is much more impressive of most improved or at least equal to 4:26 to 4:11 1600 that Ross walker had IMHO

Salem definitely belongs on the list of most improved so he is added above.

Elena Bruckner's top marks in 2014 were 129'1 and 46'1.5. To make the jump to 182'8 and 53'5.5 is astonishing. There should be no question she is the most improved athlete from 2014-2015.

To further illustrate Bruckner's Discus improvement, if we use the USATF Decathlon Calculator, she improved from 641 to 965. The equivalent for the 400m would be from 61.49 to 53.84, and in the 1500 would be from 5:29.7 to 4:39.8. Those are career-level improvements, which she made in a single year after she was already CCS-finals good.

Tim you made a compelling argument for Bruckner. I added her to the list.

I mean you can't win both mvp and most improved can you?

Brighie Leach would get my vote for a lifetime achievement award. As a sophomore she won tri-valley 1600 and was second in the 3200 but went on to win the 3200 at NCS MOC in 10:41. At the state final she placed 14th that year. As a junior she was second at NCS MOC in the 1600 and made state finals, placing 9th. As a senior she ran 10:20 for the 3200 at Arcadia (5th in the country at the time) and then had an impressive run leading up to state with a first in both the 1600 and 3200 at tri-valley and a second in 4:44 in the 1600 and first in 10:25 in the 3200 at NCS MOC. She is competing this weekend at Brooks. Currently she hold Campolindo's 800, 1600 and 3200 school records. That's an impressive high school resume.

Brighie was definitely considered. Aside from her tremendous senior season, she has been one of the top runners in NCS and state for the past four years. I will add her to the list.

So now you are making up new Categories?

Feel free to add your own. Who else deserves mention?

For Boys Rookie of the Year, what about Jared Tracy of Dublin? California #1 in the Discus by over 15 feet and #3 in the Shot. Definitely think he deserves a spot.
