What were the concerns regarding athletes that did not finish or were disqualified on qualifying teams?

No concern. If teams had runners that didn't finish, a replacement name was filled out instead so that teams could still field a full team at the state meet.

I will toss out Baylands Sunnyvale as an alternative site. To counter Toro, it has the fairest start of any HS course in the CCS with 380 flat meters(longer than Stanford's starting fairway) before the first turn, parking for busses (on site or across street at business park) and ability to handle CCS sized entry fields by virtue of WCAL and SCVAL non varsity races of over 125 runners having been conducted there in the past. And it can handle rain as the WCC Championships on November 1 proved after a deluge the day before.

Oh dear God, please do not ever hold CCS on that course. Who wants to run loops basically around a grass field and parking lot a bunch of times (4 to be exact) for a 5k cross country race. And the sharp right turn with a metal pole in the middle of the course to then run on a 3 foot sidewalk before the 2 mile is awful.

Maybe if a dirt loop was added out on the bay lands. But the current course is awful. Lots of potential but a new course would need to be made. I'm guessing it's probably a protected wetland so good luck with that one.

Interesting commentary on courses. Any input on favorite courses ever run? Doesn't have to be the big ones could be a smaller invite, dual meet course, out of state?
