Now that the Cross Country season is officially complete, it's time to look back and reflect on the accomplishments of NorCal runners. Feel free to comment on what runners you feel belong on the All NorCal HS XC Teams for the 2014 season. Who are the NorCal runners of the year? Who are the best runners in each section (NS, NCS, SJS, OAK, SF and CCS)? Who are the best runners by grade? The team will be posted around Christmas time.
As a reminder, here is last year's team:

How about starting with Cooper Teare today - 15:30 5k; 2nd place at USATF Jr. Olympics 15-16 yr age group?
Reinhart, Foster, Sum, Burke, Kurdy, Schumann, Ehrenberg
Girls NorCal ROY & Top Junior is O'Keeffe. Real debate is whether Top Senior is Lacy or Finnane.
If you rate post-State/head to head higher, then Lacy gets the nod.
However, one could make the case Finanne had the better CIF season as she ran faster than Lacy both at Stanford and State (but not head-to-head). Unfortunately she has no wins as she lost to Hansel at NCS/State.
Frisbee?
I say for SF section Salem Bouhassoun Mission HS. he beat aragon twice head to head but lost at section finals to him. Also faster time then Aragon at 2 major invites plus state (Lowell Invite, Cystal Springs and 16:09 vs 16:35 (aragon at state)
Hey did you guys hear about Cooper Teare? 2nd at Junior Olympics!
I think you look at Top 3 in any division at state, and work down from there... Those runners should be locks.
