Wasn't there some issues last year where the members of the XC team walked off of the team because a popular coach was let go? What's happening at mt view? Is this a coach or the administration problem?
They seem to be doing fine. Even with all the changes there each year. I don't know of any kids that left the team because the coach was let go. I only heard of a few kids that left the team because they didn't like the coach. But those coaches are now gone so how about we move on from this drama and focus on the upcoming season. This is old news.
I always knew that Kemp was the head track coach for those two years, but i mean i think I remember that in 2010 Garrett Rowe's dad was the distance coach and in 2011 Jim Bordoni was the distance coach. So I think he did have some assistants when it came to distance at least. I can't speak for the other sectors of track (throws, jumps, etc).
Regardless, I can understand why he left. I wonder where he will end up next. Maybe we'll see him coaching at another SCVAL or CCS school? Whatever he does, he seems like an experienced coach, and I wish him the best of luck.
Thank you Glenn for posting your name. I believe posts would be alot more honest if posters attached their name to their post. No coaches were "let go". Bordoni, Kemp, and myself all chose to remove ourselves from the position.
Umm...you're welcome, Mr. Smith. Haha that's not even my real name as I'm sure you and other readers realized (i just combined Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity to form that name). So technically I'm still anonymous. I just didn't want to label myself as "anonymous" so that in case another poster wanted to refute what I wrote then they could reference me by name instead of "anonymous" since there are multiple anonymous posters.
Regardless, I hope everyone can move on and that in the end everyone (Kemp, Smith, Bordoni, the athletes, etc) are all happy with whatever decisions they make.
On a different note, anyone know why Los Gatos moved into the El Camino league and Saratoga moved into the De Anza league?
