Probably a hard list to put together for boys with some runners all over the map on any given course. It look like 15:44 cuttof for Woodward course. Kent Slaney still on their with 16:28 at Woodward. Bouhassoun also 16:23 with similar Perfromancea as Slaney. Robison and Katzman so so at Stanford but good showing at Woodward. Gaskell racing pretty consistent this year but just off the mark. Ehrenburg getting pretty consistent again should still be on top 10. 7th and up on this list looks really hard to rank. Excited to see final version after state Next month.

Thanks for pointing out Slaney's effort at Clovis. I did miss that mark so I adjusted the list to reflect this past weekend's efforts.

Yes, very difficult list especially as you get into the honorable mention. I could easily add 10 more runners on both sides to the lists but will leave as is for now.

Great to see someone from the Oakland Section in the top 10. He ran a great race at Clovis.

Katzman ran 9:20's at state last year. Legit.

2 legit to quit yes Katman is the real deal great year. I do believe was a mid 4:20s as a Soph.

There has been a lot of talk about Michael Vernau being one of the most improved runners in the state (and rightly so), but but Ben Holland's improvement has been almost as impressive. Those two, along with Tre Lockwood of Granite Bay and Luis Grijalva of Armijo will surely represent NorCal well through their senior years next year. Always amazed at the talent in the state of California. I am not as familiar with some of the Bay Area runners, but the times speak for themselves.

Can we please get some more smack talk heading into WCAL #2 tomorrow? Or did SI shut everyone up?

No point in anyone talking when one of the teams will run on their home course. I am sure that the final at Crystal will create some good talk, either here or out on the course.
