Any updates on SCVAL today?

Nothing posted yet. The only thing that I have seen is that the Los Gatos boys won the De Anza League finals.

Mountain View girls won El Camino league finals (with under 50 points unless I am wrong). Maya Weigel won the race although not sure who won the De Anza one. Estifanos probably won his race too. Los Altos boys are strong this year.

How crazy is the WCAL where if you don't break 18 in the boys you are way off the back, to win the freshman race you need to break 16, if you aren't in the 20's your not in it and the fresh soph girls are low 20's. The depth of that league is crazy! And Bell is right there at the top of it all!!!!!!

Aptos boys and girls both take league titles. Both are young and very good.

Lick is kicking it. Handily beat University and Marin Academy boys and lose to University girls by one!
Peaking too soon, LICK?

And...

Trevor Reinhart over Connor Clark - again!

And...

Convent girls over Marin - again!

geez look at the jv results-lick has a huge team!

props for getting so many people out for XC

AmadorValley over DeLaSalle and SanRamonValley. If Hurlock comes back for NCS that would probably give DLS the edge, but still, props to Amador for getting that pack across the line in a decent time.

wow. 23 second spread for Amador...nice. With Hurlock, DLS woulda won. But now's not the time to play the woulda-shoulda-coulda game. Good job to Amador boys and Granada girls.

where was Dillon Read for Miramonte in DFAL?

WACC finals were today too, any results?

SCVAL does run as one big league so why say otherwise?

Do they split into 7&7 to get 8 qualifiers instead of 7?

"SCVAL does run as one big league so why say otherwise?

No, the SCVAL was originally two separate leagues that qualified separately. When the leagues merged to form a "super" league (with strong and weak leagues), cross country retained the original alignment. Note also that even though the teams all race on the same day, the two "halves" run in different races.

To the SCVAL question, "Do they split into 7&7 to get 8 qualifiers instead of 7?", the answer is YES (but both leagues of 7 usually qualify 5-6 from each league for the teams hit the at-Large team time). SCVAL only shares Crystal on the same day but the two divisions run separate races in VB,VB,JVG,FSB (the "officially" recognized divisions in our By-Laws) and then we run a "combined" race (but scored separately) races for the JVB & FSG.

Sounds like a great DFAL girls race - congrats Los Lomas - with 2 freshmen in the top 10, we may be saying that for a few years to come.

Las Lomas and Campolindo Girls only separated by one point. NCS is going to be fun to watch

Sorry I meant 4 points
