The Campolindo cross country team is sponsoring RUN FOR AHMAUD ARBURY AND GEORGE FLOYD, a challenge to the running community to show support for the Black Lives Matter movement by running either 2.23 or 8.46 miles on Saturday, June 20, and making a donation to the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation.
That is the 3rd fastest junior all-time nationally.

A few notes about that article. A lot of time was spent researching what happened at that meet and I really appreciate all the people that responded to my emails like Hal Harkness, Hank Lawson, Roberta Chisam, Scott Chisam, John Pelster, and Ralph Serna. That '74 meet only had 8 events and only 9 girls qualified in each event. It wasn't a true representation of the talent around the state but it was a start for CA girls in track and field. There is also more that will be posted about that meet and some of it will feature Northern California athletes and teams.
