Heck of a season for St Joseph Notre Dame junior Cooper Teare. He had other races but the following are his best times of the season. Along with Luis Grijalva Armijo (4:07.68/8:59.98) and Michael Vernau Davis (4:13.67/8:54.58), NorCal has quite a trio of runners returning next year in both cross country and track and field.

I've already started to see the cross country runners doing their Summer training along the American River parkway. This upcoming cross country season is going to be a blast. I haven't seen Teare, first hand nearly as much as Vernau and Grijalva, but if they stay injury free, could be an epic year for all of them. Off the top of my head, I expect Bellarmine will be stacked, but not sure which other teams will be among the best in NorCal on the boys side. Most of the top teams were pretty senior laden.
