Mark Stillman of Willow Glen still holds the CCS record for the mile at 4:07.04 (converted to auto time from 4:06.9) and was CA state champion in 1977. the 4:07.04 is a hand mile time (4:06.9) converted to FAT (+.14) so it's not a 1600 at all, it's a full mile. Until over 50% of the marks on the Top 100 list are run in a 1600 race (currently there are just over 30 1600's that make the list), I will continue to report the Top 100 as a full mile.
