Jim Tracy ALS 5k this Sunday

This was in today's SF Chronicle at this LINK:

The longtime San Francisco University High School cross-country and track coach lost his battle with ALS a year ago (April 6, 2014), but his legacy lives on. At 9 a.m. Sunday, students from University High and the ALS Association’s Golden West Chapter are putting on a 5-kilometer race in Golden Gate Park to raise funds for ALS research (www.jimtracyals5k.com).Tracy’s fight gained worldwide attention after his top runner in the 2010 state finals, Holland Reynolds, fell 10 yards from the finish line, stricken with dehydration and hypothermia. She crawled over the line to secure the team’s eighth state title. The story reached the New York Times and ESPN, head coach Tom Coughlin used it to inspire the New York Giants to a 2012 Super Bowl win, and the story inspired the documentary, “Running for Jim.”
