WOW!!! Pacific Collegiate Alex Stout representing CCS well in the 1600m!
She has run just hard enough to win races when I watched her this season. Chasing a faster crowd with her kick resulted in the time she posted today. She could be quite dangerous tomorrow if she is in contact with the leaders.
It will be a exciting race to watch for sure! I'm pretty sure she'll be here in the Springs in the next few weeks. I think she coached by Trent Sanderson of Team Prep USA summer Altitude Camps here! Anyway jealous you get to watch a lot of great races today!
4:52 for Skahil as well and two CCS girls in the finals. And people are saying CCS is in a down year?
Compared to past years, the CCS distance races (especially the 3200) were a bit down this year. However, Alex Stout has improved quite a bit and has proven to be quite a talent. I was not surprised she ran as fast she did yesterday. Skahill's time was a surprise and good for her. It will be interesting to see how many of the finalists today are able to dip under 4:50.
