Here are a couple times that could make the NorCal list.
Jessie Petersen - 11th Grade (not competing for Carlmont HS (CCS) this season:
1500 - 4:50.06 (1/16/10 UC Berkeley)
3000 - 10:15.60 (3/13/10 UC Davis)
3000ST - 11:28.32 (3/19/10 Chabot College) CCS RECORD
5000 - 17:53.75 (4/10/10 Ed Adams Invite @ Hartnell JC)
and another jessie petersen update....17:20 5K at mt. sac....#1 high school time in U.S.! Came through 3200 at 10:57!
Not quite. Emily Sisson from Missouri ran 16:20.44 at the Kansas Relays.
Some faster indoor times as well. This event isn't run very often for girls so the list is short. While it is a good time for a HS Junior it is not great. My guess is if all of the top 3200 girls in the nation ran the 5k it would be top 50-100 in the nation.
Top 50 in the nation - wouldn't that equal out to 1 per State? I'd say that's pretty good.
If you're top 50 in the Girls 1600 you would run 4:52 and in the 3200 you would run 10:32.
How many CCS girls could run anywhere close to that fast?
