Any high school athletes choosing to participate should check the CIF, as well as their specific Section, by-laws with respect to out of season competitions and races where college level athletes may be involved.

Coach Burns here, Head Coach at CSM and the host of this event. This is not a collegiate meet, no uniformed athletes will be in attendance. All athletes must enter as an unattached athlete and pay for meet registration.

CIF Bylaw 215 does not apply here as a result. This event falls under the "unattached competition in an individual sport" rule. (Article 60). For reference see the link below.

Coach Burns, look forward to this event! Will share with the group I coach to get people out there!

Where could I find more information about the event? On the CSM Cross Country or Track website? Direct Athletics Entry?

Note about meet:

Order of events: First race starts at 9am, Heat sheets will be made available after entries close.

1. 1 mile run

2. 5000 meter run

3. 2 mile run

Important note: All athletes must compete as an unnattached athlete. Do not wearor compete in any school associated clothing or team issued uniforms. Please check the appropriate governing rules to make sure that you are not at risk of losing eligibility. We have done our part to research the associated rules and believe that our event is clear of any rule violations. If you are a current athlete, please check with your coach if you have any additional questions. This is meant to be a fun opportunity to run the actual l Mile / 2 Mile race. We added the 5k as some athletes may prefer to run a little further. We will not accept payment on site, entries must be paid prior to the deadline or the athlete will not be allowed to participate.
