Crystal Springs course individual and team records set at CCS meet

Mitch Kingery's course record of 14:28 held up from 1972 to 2023. In 2024, De La Salle senior Trey Caldwell lowered the record to 14:27.1 with his victorious effort at the Serra Invitational. Finishing in 2nd place behind him was Santa Cruz senior Eli Fitchen-Young who ran 14:43.0

At last Saturday's CCS meet (Division IV race), Fitchen-Young ran splits of 4:28 and 9:24 on his way to establishing a new course record of 14:23.5.

In the Division V race, Menlo senior Landon Pretre won with a time of 14:24.8 and was followed by Crystal Springs Uplands School senior Benjamin Bouie at 14:27.9.

In the same Division V race, the Menlo boys (Landon Pretre, Will Hauser, Henry Hauser, Jared Saal and Oliver Olbekson) established a new team time record of 75:43. That time eclipsed the previous mark set in 2019 by Bellarmine at 76:09.6.
